I am a Washington, DC area data scientist who works at the
intersection of business and technology. With a background in
data analytics, my expertise is in helping organizations
discover ways to extract value from data. I have worked with data
and systems, ranging from the Department of Defense to global
financial institutions. My approach is using lean and agile
techniques, used within startups and software companies,
to quickly and efficiently analyze data.
I currently consult on large scale analytics focusing on the Apache Spark
framework. Previously, I was part of a big data startup, redefining
data projects and prior to that I was a consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton where I
helped organizations understand their data through advanced analytic methods.
I am also very active in the Washington, DC Lean Startup community
where I have helped growing and Fortune 500 companies apply lean methodologies
to their organizations. I help run one of Washington DC's lead Lean Startup
Meetups, the Lean Startup Academy. I also frequenly speak at startup and innovation themed events
held by the U.S. Department of Commerce and International Trade Administration, General Assembly DC,
Connect311, Georgetown University, George Mason University, and many others.
